现任北京大学光华管理学院院长、教授、博士生导师。中国企业改革与发展研究会高级研究员。

       1988年毕业于武汉大学数学系并获学士学位，1991年获得北京大学经济学硕士学位，1997年斯坦福大学经济学博士学位。

       1997年至2005年任教于加州大学洛杉矶分校。2005年至今任教于北京大学光华管理学院，曾任应用经济系系主任、院长助理、副院长。2010年12月至今，任北京大学光华管理学院院长。

       蔡洪滨教授长期致力于博弈论、产业组织、公司金融和中国经济等领域的研究并取得了丰硕的研究成果，在经济学、金融学国际顶级刊物上发表20余篇论文，并有众多的中文研究成果发表在国内顶级学术期刊。领导完成多项国家部委委托的重点课题。2006年获教育部新世纪优秀人才称号。2007年获国家自然科学杰出青年科学基金。2008年被聘为教育部长江学者特聘教授。2011年当选为世界计量经济学会会士（Fellow），并于2012年被选为理事会理事。

       蔡洪滨教授为全国人大代表，北京市政协委员，担任民盟中央经济委员会副主任以及民盟北京市副主委，国家审计署特约审计员。
